Preparing to Depart

Today is August 7th


I made this blog for the study abroad program for this Fall I will be studying in Greece and Italy. Currently my thoughts are; anxiety- WHAT CLOTHES DO I BRING, excitement- should I try out my British accent? and lastly, fear- is it true that no matter how hard I try, I'll still look like an American tourist and be pick pocketed... ugh. My mother has graciously provided me with endless reading supplies on "Safety While Traveling in Europe" my father on the other hand is trying to convince me to lose my blonde hair and go dark dark brown. He believes this will help me blend in (I'm actually considering it) My boyfriend Joel wants me to never be alone, and never accept a drink from a man at the bar (ha a cheap college student turning down a free drink) and finally my favorite person (no sarcasm! I love my g-mom) my grandmother gave me a fake wedding ring to wear on my left ring finger to warn off any advancers. All these thoughts and advice are going through my head as I prepare for the "Caits l'avventura in Europa"
